The Rock of Gainesville Story
Sent from The Rock of Panama City, Pastors George and Suzanne came with their three young sons and a vision in their hearts to birth a church in Gainesville, FL. On Labor Day weekend in 1987, The Rock of Gainesville was established. From the very beginning, Pastors George and Suzanne knew they were to commit to living out the rest of their lives in this city.
With a great passion to love God and love people, Pastor George set out to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in an unrelenting, unwavering, uncompromising way. Through this, Pastors George and Suzanne have encouraged this body of believers to be faithful to pray and obey, serve those in need, seek and save the lost, and be a family, not a crowd.
By God’s grace and mercy, The Rock has become a selfless church that loves its city and the world at large. With numerous local partnerships and missions work throughout the world, The Rock has pursued leaving a legacy to the glory of God.
